Sony Ericsson Xperia W8 Walkman is the first phone from the Walkman series to run Android powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. The W8 is equipped single-core processor 600 MHz and 168 MB RAM.

The device equipped with 3 inch capacitive touch screen with 320 x 480 pixels. Furthermore, the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman phone has a handy 3.2-megapixel camera for capturing photos and recording videos. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB for quick recharge and data transfer. The phone has built-in multi-languages support including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian.

The handset has the design of the XPERIA X8. Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman is a sleek and slim device, measuring at 99 x 54 x 15mm and carries a weight of 104g. Sony Ericsson W8 comes with a 1,200 mAh lithium polymer battery. The manufacturer rates the talk time at 4.75 hours and the stand-by time is 18 days.
