Sony Ericsson unveils the new Xperia mini pro, the latest additions to its Xperia family. Building on the success of the original mini series, these innovative smartphones come packed full of features, powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and run the latest platform of Google’s Android – Gingerbread 2.3.

Xperia mini pro brings the optimized slide-out keyboard with smart functionality first seen on the Xperia pro to a compact smartphone. A subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminates the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard.

The Xperia Mini Pro 3.0” screen is large for a mini phone and appears even larger relative to the phone’s tiny body size. The screen has a 320×480 resolution which is a big improvement on the X10 Mini’s low pixel density screen. Beautifully designed, Xperia mini pro both integrate best-in-class imaging and display technology from Sony, including Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine.

Other features the Android handset are a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash and 720p HD video capture, DNLA, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and 320MB of internal storage which is upgradable to 32GB with microSD cards.

Xperia mini pro measueres 90.0 x 52.0 x 17.0 mm/3.5 x 2.0 x 0.7 inches and weighs 120.0 gr/4.2 oz. The battery powering the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro has a capacity of 1200mAh, and is rated at 5.66 hours of talk-time, and 14 days of stand-by time.
